The famous director Steven Spielberg revealed that he was directing a miniseries about the life of Napoleon, based on a story by the late director Stanley Kubrick, entitled Napoleon 7. Spielberg said: "I am reading Stanley Kubrick's story for the sake of making a miniseries, not a movie." Spielberg added that he is working closely with Kubrick's family to complete Project Napoleon, which Kubrick intended to make "the best film in the history of cinema," according to a letter he sent in 1971 to film studio officials.
