He continued: Egyptians work in Italy for a period ranging between 10, 20 or 25 years and after returning to Egypt, they do not have any pension due to the lack of any legal basis. As the largest segment of Egyptian workers abroad, especially in Italy, was not provided with insurance, he demanded that there be any legal basis to claim a pension from Italy for those who work there for a number of varying years with the assistance of the Egyptian state.

In order for a pension to be paid from Italy, the Egyptian citizen must have worked in the country for a period of no less than 20 continuous years, so that he has the right to receive a pension for the rest of his life until he dies, even if he settles in the Egyptian state and not in Italy, adding The legal age to leave work in Italy is 67 years, meaning retirement.

He continued: “There is a major problem facing Egyptian workers abroad, which is converting the Egyptian private driving license to an Italian license, while it is not recognized at all in Italy. “This exposes workers in Italy to legal accountability,” pointing out that converting the Egyptian license to an Italian one will provide him with new job opportunities in Italy, calling on the Egyptian state to take serious steps to solve this problem facing Egyptian workers in Italy.
