Amman FM arranges an exclusive interview with the rising music star Al-Shami about the beginnings of his success, the circumstances he faced on the way to success, and how he got ready for the best song in 2023.


“Al-Shami” revealed his real name, which is “Abdul Rahman Fawaz,” indicating that he acquired his nickname in Turkey, as he lived in a town and its residents called him “Al-Shami” in reference to the Levant.


He said in “Al-Shami” in statements to Amman FM that this is the first time that his name has been announced through the media. He stressed that when he turned to singing, he gave him the nickname, expressing his pride in him.

Al-Shami had released his famous song “Yalil wa Yaalin,” which achieved widespread success after it was released four months ago, and its viewing rate reached 99 million views on the YouTube platform.


The song is written and composed by “Al-Shami”, arranged by Fouad Junaid and directed by Hassan Rahayel. The song also became very popular on other platforms such as “Tik Tok” and “Instagram”. He has several other songs, including “Smitak Sama”, “Bafdik”, and “Shayla”.

“Al-Shami” won his award at the “Joy Awards”, as part of a competition between 4 songs, which is “Fawq” by singer Asala Nasri. And “Mazlaj” by singer Omaima Taleb, in addition to “Weyak Weyak” by artist Ahlam, and his song “Oh Night and Eyes.”
